PAMPERED PALETTE

Here is a nifty little project that I have gotten involved with after an eBay purchase.  This past weekend I purchased 5 silver plated coffee pots and decided to do a little decorative painting on the pots.  I will post the steps and results with pictures as I decorate the different pots.  Below is the first pot that I am planning to use a Rosemary West pattern and a combination of Heritage Acrylics and Traditions.

I started with this simple silver pot, cleaned the pot with comet, sanded the pot and then sealed it with a multi-surface sealer.

After sealing the pot with the mult-surface sealer, I painted the pot blue.  I mixed my own blue using Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Umber and Titanium White.   

Now that is definitely a blue pot.  The next step included placing the pattern on the piece and then basecoating the fruit as you can see below:
